Joss explores the intimate and ordinary instances of human experiences and emotions. His interest in the observation of reality allows him to develop an artistic work, while at the same time visually narrating a story with rich sensitivity.

Spanish illustrator based in the United Kingdom, Fine Arts BA (Hons) specialised in Animation at Universitat Politècnica de València, Spain. He works in traditional and digital media.

As a visual storyteller, Joss has explored portraiture, motion graphics, self-publishing book, and animation. Also, he works across different disciplines from Drawing, Painting and Photography.

WHY ARTS?

I consider myself an artist because I use art disciplines as a transversal vehicle to express emotions, communicate and interact. Besides, it allows me to break down barriers as a universal non-verbal language that does not understand obstacles.

By my artistic concern, I have been researching the pictorial process through non-conventional materials for many years using chlorine bleach on pigments and organic fabrics to get different colours and tones.

In addition, he specialises in live drawing and reportage illustration for professional events: private views, venues, meetings, and customers. RI provides a direct connection to the world we live in. It is an act as witnesses documenting aspects of contemporary life and culture revealing aspects over offering a new perspective on familiar worlds or those which have previously been alien to the viewer.

Head of Life Drawing Lab (LD-Lab) means letting improve the ability to draw a figure. For beginners or visual artists to draw from life and let understanding the figure in view is fundamental as a practice, to train the eye to see accurately and observe emotion and gesture.
